"Whosoever finds me finds eternal joy"

- Blessing of St. Imulation   1256 - 1288

Who are we?

We are an enclosed silent order of
sisters whose nunnery is in rural Cheshire, England. In fact we have been here in Cheshire for centuries, right back to 1642, having come through various stages from our beginnings in Nancy, northern France, where some young English women had gone in search of religious life intent on returning to England when persecution abated. Begun in those far off days, the same life of daily prayer and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is ours today.
Our work revolves around raising self awareness of St. Imulation and how
, by all pulling together, we can
achieve the holy ecstasy of his teachings.
Each new novitiate is coached in the mysteries of our patron saint and encouraged to practice his teachings using everyday simple objects and animals such as
candles and rabbits. Only when a novitiate excels in the practice of bead flicking is she admitted as a full member of the Sisterhood.

Who is St. Imulation?

St. Imulation was a contemporary of St. Francis of Assisi in 13th century, Umbria, Italy. He was by birth a nobleman and spent his younger days polishing the family jewels but relinquished all to live a Gospel life in the spirit of St. Francis.

He gathered together a small group of followers, took them in hand and taught them in the ways of his own mysteries. They, in turn, went out and spread the seed that was so vital for the furtherance of his teachings. They were often abused but never relented in their chosen path to ecstasy.

This is St. Imulation's own exhortation to us: "Whosoever finds me finds eternal joy"
